Well Go USA has released the official trailer for Fists on a Plane: Wings of Dread, a mid-air martial arts thriller that pits Ashton Chen against Iko Uwais. It arrives on digital in the US on November 24, 2026.
The story
Air marshal Gu Chaoyang (Chen) is just trying to fly home to China when his flight is hijacked by a ruthless adversary (Uwais). With nowhere to run at 30,000 feet, he becomes the last line of defense for the passengers and crew, and has to rely on his combat skills and his principles to keep everyone alive. The film first opened in China in July, where it's known as 万米危机.
Who's in it
Chen stars as Gu Chaoyang. Uwais, best known for The Raid, plays the hijacker. The supporting cast includes Qu Jingjing, Nita Hsia Jo-Yen, Hong Shuang, Ren Tianye, Gao Yi, Huang Tao and Liu Fengchao.
Behind the camera
Chen also directs, with Pengfei Qin as co-director, from a screenplay by Wang Haoyi. Lei Jinyan, He Fei and Ti Long produce. For fans of practical, hand-to-hand action, pairing two fight-trained leads inside the tight confines of an airliner cabin is the whole appeal.
Released in North America by Well Go USA Entertainment, the label behind Train to Busan and the Ip Man films.
