Everytime Teaser

1-2 Special has released the US teaser for Everytime, Sandra Wollner's grief drama that won the top prize in Cannes' Un Certain Regard section this year. After a one-week awards-qualifying run at New York's Film at Lincoln Center, it opens in theaters on February 12, 2027.

The story

On the eve of a family vacation, a shocking tragedy strikes a household in present-day East Berlin. A year later, the mother, Ella, her younger daughter Melli and Lux, a teenage boy close to the family, reunite and travel to Tenerife to take the holiday that never happened. As they wrestle with blame and forgiveness, past, present and future start to blur together.

Who's in it

Birgit Minichmayr plays Ella, with Lotte Shirin Keiling as Melli, Tristán López as Lux and Carla Hüttermann as Jessie.

Behind the camera

Wollner wrote and directed the film, and it's shot by Gregory Oke, the cinematographer of Aftersun. An Austrian-German co-production from Panama Film and The Barricades, it premiered at Cannes in May 2026, has since earned three Gotham Award nominations, and is Germany's submission for Best International Feature at the Academy Awards.

Released in North America by 1-2 Special.
