Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for Dune: Part Three, Denis Villeneuve's close to the trilogy he began in 2021. It opens in theaters and IMAX on December 18, 2026.
The story so far
This chapter adapts Dune Messiah, Frank Herbert's 1969 follow-up to Dune. It picks up 17 years after Part Two. Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) now rules as Emperor, a holy war has been waged in his name, and a conspiracy is forming to bring him down. Robert Pattinson joins the series as Scytale, a shape-shifting Face Dancer at the center of that plot.
Who's in it
Chalamet and Zendaya return as Paul and Chani, alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Florence Pugh as Irulan. Jason Momoa is back in a new form as Hayt, Anya Taylor-Joy plays Paul's sister Alia, and Charlotte Rampling returns as Reverend Mother Mohiam.
Behind the camera
Villeneuve wrote the script with Brian K. Vaughan. Hans Zimmer scores again, and Linus Sandgren takes over as cinematographer, shooting mostly on 65mm film with sequences on IMAX film. If you plan on seeing it big, IMAX 70mm screenings have been selling out early.
Produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
